FAQs - PETRES

What is Petres & where is it located?
Petres is an ensemble of three private villas : Avra , Petra and Riza - located on the island of Andros in Greece. Originally created for three sisters to have a place to reconnect every summer, and now open for renting certain months of the year.

These three villas are nestled in a quiet green valley 20 minutes drive from Gavrio (port of Andros), with stunning views and easy access to local attractions.

How do we get to Petres?
Andros can be accessed by ferry from Rafina (mainland Athens) or Mykonos. There are usually around four different ferries per day. You can find more information here to book online. Once you arrive on Andros, it’s a 20 minute drive to reach Petres.

To note: the ferries often have a very limited schedule between low and high season so please do check the timetable before booking your flights – this will allow you to line up your transport as best as possible.

Make sure to book travel insurance in the case that the boat gets cancelled due to bad weather/strong winds. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for last minute no-shows for pre-booked stays in these situations.

Do I need a car to reach Petres?
Although the local KTEL bus does pass the main road near Petres, it is advised to rent a car to travel around Andros (as it is a big island with lots to see!) Please do try to rent a jeep like car as accessing Petres (and lots of the best beaches on the island) has steep and very bumpy roads.

We recommend renting from Captain’s in Gavrio (Port of Andros)

What is the difference between AVRA, RIZA and PETRA?
As with each sister, each villa has its own style. Each villa has been created & curated with acute attention resulting in distinctly different details echoing similar spaces. Make sure to check the info on each villa to see which style fits best, but all three villas are around the same size, and have the same private amenities.

What is the Petres vision?
Our vision, as originally imagined for Petres, is for the full property to be lived by one large group of friends or multiple families. Petres can host up to 18 people and through opening each gate, it soon becomes a small interlocked community where sharing spaces, levels and experiences can be all together. Contact us directly on androspetres@gmail.com to book the full property!

How many guests can each villa accommodate?

  • AVRA: 4 Guests (+ 2 on couch)

  • RIZA: 4 Guests (+ 2 on couch)

  • PETRA: 4 Guests (+ 2 on couch)

How close are the villas to each other?
The villas are smartly built on different levels to allow full privacy in the home & outdoor areas. However the villas ARE next to each other (see drone photos). Therefore do expect to hear/see others during some moments & who knows, maybe you’ll make a new friend! But with common respect for each other there is no reason to not all enjoy Petres separately.

Can I rent more than one villa at a time?
That is our vision :) Rent all three villas and create your own getaway community.
